I hit my Girlfriend, how do I get her to trust me again?

We're college students and she lives with me. I hit her last night because I lost my temper with her, she didn't leave or anything, she's just been keeping to herself. When I try to touch her and be affectionate she's not responsive. How do I get her to be receptive again? She's so beautiful and I love her more than anything.
