A girl I recently met seems interested but isn't responding?

I met a waitress at a sports bar when I was with a group of guys. One of them (without my knowledge) got the waitress to give me her number. We talked a good amount, left the bar and came back 2 hours later. The second time, she would come by and we would talk for 5-10 minutes at a time. We texted some that night and the next night. I went back to the sports bar a few days later and once again we talked a lot and she seems real interested. She told me she would text me when she got out of work and hugged me good bye. I wanted to ask her out on a date, but her boss started yelling at her to go clear some tables so I didn't really have the chance. I texted her today something like "i hope you didn't get in trouble with your boss." She seems interested, but at the same time not very responsive to texts. When I saw her the 2nd time, she came over and talked with me when she wasn't even my waitress. How should I proceed? Text her again, or wait till I see her again. Not looking for a hookup, but would like to take her out on a date.
