Is there anyway to put music on a ipod touch besides itunes?

Every time i open itunes it goes non-responsive. It only recognizes 78 out of 220gb of my music and it freezes up during gap-less playback determination. I know its not my computer because its new and it has 2 terabyte hard drive 8gb ram and i7 processor. I want to be able to put music on my ipod and manage it again with itunes but its not working, itunes used to work fine and pick up all of my music then it did some shitty update now doesnt work, can any one help?
