What are some really easy-to-care-for, low maintenance bushes, shrubs, greenery or flowers?

Dwarf yaupons are really excellent plants that are fairly hardy. Japanese boxwoods are another shrub/bush that have done very well without any real effort on our part. We similarly bought a house that had been on the market for a while, and all the plants had died except for these, which still looked just fine. They are thriving now with regular watering.
